In light of Democrat Patricia Todd being officially named to the Alabama State House of Representatives, becoming the state’s 1st openly gay elected official by a 95-87 vote, thought I’d pass along the 13 new openly gay candidates supported by the Victory Fund in elections across the country.

The new endorsements bring the total number of candidates the Victory Fund is supporting this election year to 77, more than it ever has before!

The fund’s newly endorsed Democratic candidates are Paula Aboud for Arizona state Ssenate, district 28; Benjamin Cruz for lieutenant governor of Guam; Bevan Dufty for San Francisco Board of Supervisors, district 8; Charles Eader for Bedminster, N.J., township committee; Alexis Gorriaran for Rhode Island state Senate, district 5; Ken Keechl for Broward County Commission, district 4; Anthony McCarthy for Maryland House of Delegates, district 44; Maggie McIntosh for Maryland House of Delegates, district 43; Doug Milliken for Arapahoe County, Colo., treasurer; Ed Murray for Washington State Senate, district 43; Mary Washington for Maryland House of Delegates, district 43.
