Cynthia Nixon won best actress at this year’s Tony Awards for her portrayal of a mother dealing with the accidental death of her child in Rabbit Hole. Nixon, who won an Emmy for her supporting role as attorney Miranda Hobbes on the award-winning HBO series, Sex in the City, attended the Tony Awards show with her girlfriend Christine Marinoni, the New York City director of the Alliance for Quality Education.
